In 2023, I wondered how little I knew about Taiwan and about its ceramic history so I looked for a wood-fired residency opportunity and found Zhunan Snake Kiln. I enquired and during the procses, they told me Master Lin has been invited to build a Taiwanese style Anagama kiln in Slovenia. In a whim, I went to Slovenia and spent a month with a team of European potters and of course, got to know Master Lin, Yu-Ting and Liang from Taiwan.
A year went by after the kiln was built in Slovenia, and I finally arrived in Taiwan on the 19 Oct 2024 to start my residency in Taiwan.
